Frankenweenie Movie

Walt Disney wants to bring Tim Burton's comedy horror short film Frankenweenie to the big screen. The original short was a live-action project filmed by Tim Burton in 1984 while a film school student: it's a parody of the 1931 film Frankenstein based on Mary Shelley's book of the same name.

Director Tim Burton, who's now a proven and famous director, will helm the new feature film. But the new Frankenweenie won't be a live-action film, instead it will be made using stop-motion animation, and it will be in 3D.

Here's an interesting photo showing the puppets of Victor and his dog Sparky alongside a few concept arts for the film:

Frankenweenie MoviePlot:
"The story centers on a boy who brings his dog back to life after it is killed by a car."

I've spotted the original Frankenweenie short film on youtube, you may watch it below:

Disney has set the release date of the movie Frankenweenie for October 5, 2012.
